If you wish to inquire about the possibility of having your wedding at either St. John’s or St Luke’s we would be very happy to talk to you. In general terms we offer weddings to those who live in our parish and those with a clear connection to the church and parish (through a relative).

It is God's purpose that, as a husband and wife give themselves to each other in love, in joyful commitment to the end of their lives, they shall be united in that love, as Christ is united with his church.  Marriage is given as the foundation of family life in which children are nurtured and in which each member of the family, in good times and in bad, may find strength, companionship and comfort, and grow to maturity in love.

If you would like to explore getting married at St. John’s or St Luke’s please get in touch with the office to arrange an appointment.

A funeral is used to mark the end of a person's life here on earth.  Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping.  These can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.

Everyone is entitled to either a burial service (funeral) or to have their ashes buried in their local parish churchyard by their local parish priest regardless of whether they attended church or not.
