Good Friday Thoughts

Good Friday Thoughts –

There’s a lot of uncertainty around. We see evidence of this for the ordinary people in Cyprus. In this country there’s a level of anxiety for people affected through changes coming into effect in April. In some parts of the UK people speak of their lack of hope, their concern for the future. Decision makers seem to lack clarity in their decision making.

As we read the Easter story again we read of wrong decisions being made. People were bewildered and many left without hope.

Several years later Peter – one of the friends of Jesus – wrote ‘In His great mercy God has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

Ultimately, there’s only one perfect decision maker – God. Only when we respond to Jesus’ words to love God (with all our heart, mind and strength) and to love our neighbour as ourselves will we see people as Jesus sees them and hope restored.

Hope you have a good Easter.

Blessings
